The annual Christmas tree lighting is held during the Shoppers Walk on the Saturday evening prior to the Prosperity Christmas Parade and begins at 2:00 PM.  This event is sponsored by the Prosperity Business  Association and kicks-off the Christmas season by officially lighting the Town’s Christmas tree, which is located in the Town Square.  This event is concluded by candlelight as the tree is lit while those gathered sing.
