Government 2005 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report Now Available Council | Finance | Utilities | Police | Fire  Council Meeting Minutes | Town Ordinances 2006 Water Quality Report   Town Utilities   The Town of Prosperity provides its residents with the following services:  Electric, Water, Sewer (upon availability), Trash Pick-up, Water Heater Maintenance and Security Lights.    The Town processes all billings for these services.  Utility payments are due by the 10th of each month and utilities will be disconnected for non-payment after the 25th of each month.    To obtain residential or commercial utility services within the Town, complete the APPLICATION FOR COMMERCIAL UTILITY SERVICES or the   APPLICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL UTILITY SERVICES and submit it to Town Hall at 250 School Drive Street, Prosperity.  A copy of a valid identification card and Social Security card will be required for our files.  There is a $25.00 service fee for property owners and a $125.00 service fee for property renters.   All customers outside Town Limits which are serviced utilities by the Town of Prosperity will pay 1 ½ times the in-town rate.   Utility rates are as follows (August 17, 2004):   WATER RATES: Residential: $10.00 for 0 – 1000 gals.,  plus $1.40 for ea. additional 1,000 gals. Commercial: $12.00 for 0 – 1000 gals.,  plus $1.40 for ea. additional 1,000 gals. Apartment complex rates may vary   Second Water Meter:   For water that does not go through sewer $1.50 per month availability,  plus $1.40 per 1,000 gallons    SEWER RATES: Residential: $7.50 availability, plus $4.50 per 1,000 gal. Commercial: $9.00 availability, plus $4.50 per 1,000 gal.
