Events | Calendar |  Pride in Prosperity | Prosperity's Hoppin' | Shoppers Walk |  Christmas Parade | Tree Lighting   Christmas Tree Lighting Held during the Shoppers Walk the Saturday evening prior to the Prosperity Christmas Parade.  This event sponsored by the Mid-Carolina Ministerial Association kicks-off the Christmas season by officially lighting the Town’s Christmas tree located in Town Square.  Local church choirs and the Mid-Carolina High School Chorus set the mood with holiday carols.  This event is concluded by candlelight as the tree is lit while the crowd sings.
